"Some want to live within the sound of church or chapel bells, I want to run a rescue shop within the yard of hell."

Meet The Team
Jeff Teague
It has been my privilege to see first hand the life changing effects that a friend and mentor can have in an individual’s life. I have seen first hand the effects of what a mentor can do in reshaping the way people think. Simply to give advice is not enough and guilt is a poor motivator, but Christ's love can calm a storm and change the direction of a life. Victoria has been blessed with several precious mentors. These women have walked beside her and loved her deeply while sharing the truth. Victoria's cup has been filled due to these relationships and has prepared her in return to share the same love and encouragement with others. Not only is this the example of Christ, it is our commission. It is the very core of Victoria's Friends.
Angela Brown | Director of Relational Services
After attending a fundraiser for Victoria’s Friends in 2006, I had a strong sense that God was calling me to be a part of this ministry. As a volunteer, I am a member of the Victoria’s Friends outreach team and also serve as Director of Relational Services. For many years, I worked as a nurse. Later I earned a second degree in counseling and served as a director of a shelter for homeless women and a director of a church outreach ministry. My experience providing services for women and children covers a broad range of areas such as youth mentorship, domestic violence training, crisis pregnancy, women in prison, support for single mothers, and drug/alcohol recovery.
Vicki Benard | Liaison to Churches/Organizations/Partnerships
I met Victoria for the first time in a women's bible study as she shared her testimony. I was absolutely shocked, not at her story, but the fact that she could share so honestly in a church group of women. So many times before, I sat in a small group and pretended to have it all together, pretended that I didn't have a past, pretended that I knew God so well, pretended.... Victoria totally changed my life. She helped me begin to take off my masks and be the person God created and to stop pretending. Having Victoria and her friends come to a church or a women's group and share from the heart has been an incredible blessing. Many times women in the audience are weeping, they have so connected with at least one person or one story or one line and then they too are changed forever.
Claire Sullivan | Prayer Coordinator
Years ago I met Victoria at a Bible study, along with Vicki Benard, where Victoria shared her testimony. My life has not been the same since. Victoria has a passion for God and His Word that is contagious. I've been praying with and for Victoria ever since and also for this ministry. My desire is to see people come to know Christ and to be healed in their mind, body, soul, and spirit. Prayer is the foundation for all of this. It's my pleasure and job to coordinate all the prayer requests for Victoria's Friends.
Matt and Amy Rue | Outreach Team
Matt and I have been married for 10 years. We are passionate about reaching souls for Christ. Matt offers support by praying in the parking lot during our outreaches at the clubs. We support Jeff and Victoria with prayer and are always ready to open our home to meetings and whatever else may be needed.
Michelle Potter | Marketing Director
My husband first heard about Victoria and her ministry in 2003 from a national magazine article. Since 2006, I have served the ministry through outreach, basket making, and volunteering with the weekly group for ladies. Using my degree in journalism and career experience in public relations, I serve as the marketing director. It has been amazing to be a part of this Christ-centered ministry team!
Natalie Cekan | Praise and Dance Worship Leader
The Victoria's Friends Dance Ministry started in 2004 when I met Victoria through Melissa Yeung. Victoria and I spoke at length about her desire to redeem the dance for the ladies coming out of clubs; giving them an outlet to express themselves through dance while worshiping God. Our desire as a dance team is to show others the love and compassion of Jesus through drama and dance. We pray that others would encounter God through our movements and message.
