Teens in Action

A big part of your growth is to give back to the community. We've all heard that it is more blessed to give than receive. Well, it is true.

"If you get rid of unfair practices, quit blaming victims,
quit gossiping about other peoples sins. If you are generous
with the hungry and start giving yourselves to the down and out,
your lives will begin to glow in the darkness, your shadowed lives will
be bathed in sunlight. I will always show you where to go, I'll give you a
full life in the emptiest of places – firm muscles, strong bones.
You'll be like a well watered garden, a gurgling spring that never
runs dry. You'll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew,
rebuild the foundations from out of your past.
You'll be known as those who can fix anything, restore old
ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again."

Isaiah 58:9-12  from the Message

As you get involved in the community and reach out to others who are less fortunate than you,
several things will happen:

• You become less focused on yourself.
• You will become SO grateful for all you have,
• You will be blessed.
• Your old wounds will be healed, and God will turn it all around and make something NEW for you.

Each month new community projects will be posted for you and your group to get involved in:

• Feed the Homeless at City of Refuge: Every Sunday at 9:00a.m.

• Make Baskets of Love for Victoria's Friends (Download Basket Making info sheet)

I am so proud of you for making this step and I cannot wait to hear your
stories of love as you share with others who are hurting and needy. May God bless you richly in your endeavors to serve Him.
